The content in this blog is the final project for the class Evolution and Trends in Digital Media (COM 546), a required class of the Master of Communication in Digital Media at the University of Washington.
This blog contains a research project about the history of the land telephone and the cell phone in Mexico. This project includes a background history of these technologies in the United States, how these technologies moved from the United States to Mexico, and how these technologies impacted Mexico in the past. It also includes the present and the future of both technologies in Mexico. The project is not only a historical paper, it also includes a detail analysis of the impacts that these two technologies had among the Mexican society and the telephone market.
